okobbe was built by an operator, for operators. We know how much trust it takes to let an outside team touch your business data. Your revenue, labor costs, customer counts, membership mix. The numbers that actually run your business. This page explains exactly how we handle it, and exactly what we will and will not do with it.

What data okobbe handles

okobbe works with two distinct categories of data, and they are treated very differently.

1. Client operational data (the data we build dashboards on)

When we build a dashboard for a client, the data flowing through it typically includes transaction logs from point-of-sale systems, membership and customer records, labor and scheduling data, facilities and work-order data, review and reputation data, and financial data such as revenue, refunds, and cost centers. This is the data your business runs on.

This data lives in database infrastructure set up and maintained in an environment you own and control. okobbe personnel access this data only to build, maintain, and debug the systems you have asked us to build. We do not copy it elsewhere. We do not export it. We do not retain snapshots after an engagement ends.

2. Visitor and contact form data (the data okobbe.com collects)

When you visit okobbe.com or submit the contact form at okobbe.com/contact.html, okobbe collects the following:

• Contact form submissions: your name, email address, company name (optional), phone number (optional), and the message you send us. This is stored securely and used to respond to your inquiry.
• Basic server logs: IP address, user agent, request path, and timestamp. These are standard web server logs used to diagnose issues and detect abuse. They are not sold, shared, or used for tracking.
• Aggregated traffic analytics (if enabled): anonymized visit counts and page views. No cookies are set. No personal identifiers are collected. No cross-site tracking occurs.

We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and operate the website. We do not run retargeting pixels. We do not sell visitor data. We do not use third-party advertising networks. We do not set tracking cookies.

How okobbe protects your data

• Encrypted in transit. All connections to okobbe.com, to okobbe-built dashboards, and to the databases behind them are served over HTTPS with modern TLS.
• Encrypted at rest. All production databases use industry-standard encryption at rest provided by the underlying infrastructure.
• Role-based access control. Dashboards built by okobbe include granular user roles and per-tab permissions by default. Site-level managers only see their location. Executives see what they should see. Auditors see what they need to see.
• Multi-factor authentication available. All okobbe-built dashboards support MFA. We strongly recommend enabling it for every user.
• Least-privilege access for okobbe engineers. Our engineers access client environments only when required, with credentials that can be revoked at any time, and only for the specific scope of the engagement.
• Audit logging. Dashboards include built-in audit trails for sensitive actions such as refund auditing, commission review, and data exports. You can see who did what, when.

Data retention and deletion

Client operational data is retained for as long as you want it retained. It is your database. You decide retention policy, archival strategy, and deletion schedule. If you ask us to delete it, we delete it. If you end an engagement and ask for a full wipe, we wipe it and provide written confirmation.

Contact form submissions are retained for as long as the conversation they initiated is relevant, typically 12 to 24 months. You can request deletion at any time by emailing [email protected] and we will delete your submission within 7 business days.

Third-party infrastructure

okobbe relies on a small set of trusted infrastructure providers to operate this website and the systems we build for clients. These providers handle things like DNS, edge security, database hosting, and email delivery. Each one processes data only as needed to operate the underlying infrastructure and does not have independent access to or rights over client data.

We do not use third-party advertising networks, retargeting pixels, social media tracking scripts, customer data platforms, or data brokers. Full stop.

Your rights

Regardless of where you live, if okobbe holds data about you or your business, you have the right to:

• Know what data we have about you.
• Receive a copy of that data in a portable format.
• Correct inaccuracies.
• Request deletion.
• Object to specific processing.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how okobbe handles data, we will update this page and notify active clients by email before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
